Ebbs
Came as a companion for my mare Tessa after I lost my old girl Bridie, from the minute Ebbs arrived she had it all sussed.
She was the boss, a great character, she had been a beech donkey all her life, I got her when she was eighteen years old, she was thirty when we lost her.
What a full life she lived, children loved her, she was happy to stand and have a Santa hat on, or be taking for a walk by the Brownies as long as she was given “treats”!!
Ebbs was a lovely girl, she was the “meet and greeter” for all newcomers, the first to spend time with them when they arrived scared and unsure, in life she would have a been a great diplomat.
Ebbs was also the clever one, it never took her long to work out how to open gates, the feed room had to padlocked shut, no other donkey could get into it except Ebbs, she was most indignant when she was locked out
